Rackspace Asia held an event in HCMC, Vietnam, on June 2nd and 3rd at the Sheraton Hotel. They set up three roundtables on June 2nd to talk about Hybrid Computing, Cloud Computing, and OpenStack led by Jim Fagan, VP and Managing Director of Rackspace Asia. Bloggers, the media and local businesses.
The June 3rd event was organized with the help of Orion Newtech, now defunct, and Hakata Consulting‘s Kevin Miller. Attendees for this event included the first Director of VDC (HCMC) and and a potential candidate for the People’s Assembly from HASCON. The following organizations were represented at the second day’s event:

The meeting was very successful. Hakata hopes to work with Rackspace Asia to help set up OpenStack cloud computing in Vietnam.
